Michele Benazzo

Michele is currently a PhD candidate in International History and Politics at the Graduate Institute in Geneva. He also holds an MA in International Relations from the University of Padova, Italy and a Mlitt in Terrorism and Political Violence from the University of St Andrews, Scotland. His SNSF-funded PhD research focuses on the evolution of British Muslim radicalism after the demise of the British Empire, with a particular emphasis on the interactions between local and international dynamics. Michele is also affiliated with the Global Migration Center at the Graduate Institute.

His research interests are the history of radicalism and political violence especially after the Second World War, racism, migration and global history. He focuses principally on Western Europe, the Middle East and the Balkans. For more information, see here.
